When stuff like that happens to me, (I have had a similar problem)
I put the CFW PS3 in recovery mode, I use option 4 - Rebuild database.
If that doesn't work,
I use Restore File system
WARNING:
These two options will not delete any content on your HDD, but it will nuke all your sent and received messages as well as music playlists you have, and if you edited track information on any mp3s, say you renamed them all to something less ambiguous than "track 01", the names and other altered data will revert. (seriously, get a keyboard) For any messages you want to save, I would suggest sending them to another account you have, then send them back later.
IF THAT DOESN'T WORK:
- I simply reinstall my CFW. I use Rebug D-REX 4.75.1
Note: IF you do this (In case you don't know) You will need to reinstall CCAPI, Your CID and WebMan (As far as I know and do)
Normally that will fix everything for me. Try this at your own risk but It works great for me.
My problem was that I had a user that I created, I signed into psn, went into GTA, Tried to load the mods from the modloader I had BUT
Every time I did try to do this on that user, I Instantly froze. It worked on ALL my other users. For me, I just deleted the user. but I have had other stuff happen too. The above is what I normally try.
I hope this helps you
