Try deleting your current save file from your ps3
then load MKvsDC and play a quick match so it can create a new save file
then copy over the files you downloaded into your MKvsDC folder
I had the same problem back then when i was trying the 89% complete file, but then i got it to work

just to make sure i'm on the same page as everyone i only copy over PARAM.PFD and MKVSDCU right?

i usually copy over everything except the .SFO file

i created new save then overwrote both save/settings and then proceeded to complete first challenge for missing trophies .
