after an hour of messing with shit i'm throwing in the towel on this one. i got every hack on this site to work except for this one and the lbp one and i just don't get it. i've tried copying param.pfd/mkvsdcu, then i tried icon1.pam/param.pfd/mkvsdcu. neither one of em work. i get a blank game like someone else stated earlier and then i get a "this data is corrupt" message whenever i exit to the main menu

This happened to me also. The trick is to make sure you have an existing save on your PS3 first.
Easiest way is to launch the game and complete one of the trials - Flashs 1st trial is easy. This will trigger an autosave and create a save file for you. You won't get any visual notification of this though.
Back out to XMB and then follow the instructions as others have already posted. You should now be good to go.
If you're having problems with completing a characters 1st trial, try the 2nd or 3rd trial. I myself have had to do this for a few characters.

Thank you so much. I got so many trophies through your save. There are only play 200 versus, beat arcade on max difficult and 100 lobby matches trophies. After these, Platinum is mine
Is there a way to get the trophy related with finishing arcade mode on max. difficulty with this save? I tried so many times with spam attacks of Shao Kahn's, Darkseid's etc. But Ican't get it. Dark Khan (the last enemy) always beats me

yea i had the same problem ,but with darkseid.
dark khan was easy for me,all you have to do is jump away from him then spam your laser beam. Keep trying bro,you'll beat him
