I'm trying out this jailbreaking, though it's not working yet.
I've updated my PS3 a few days ago, with firmware 3.60.
But I've also downloaded something called Jailbreak 3.55

I put my PS3 offline, without even an internet connection, put the jailbreak-thingy on the USB, tried to update my PS3 via USB (so the jailbreak would be the update - you know what I mean)

But then.. it failed.

Then I tried to downgrade my firmware from 3.60 to 3.55, so I downloaded the update that was up back then. But that also failed, and gave me an error code.

So my question is: How can I get my PS3 to be jailbroken?

Because I also got a file that would make me able to hack any trophy I desire, named the Trophy Editor.

And my other question is: Can I still get online, talking to friends and stuff (I DO NOT need to play online - I don't even like that), if I jailbreak my PS3, sync the new hacked trophies, without being banned?

Please help me.

You CAN'T DOWNGRADE 3.60 to 3.55.

You fu*ked up by updating to 3.60, it has patch that prevent jb.

Kid come on, think for one minuit, and ask your self, is sonys security really that bad? And maybe you could come to the conclusion that they hate jail breakers and don't want any one to jailbreak. But of course you can't even find the right section on ngu soooo..../facepalm

Yeah, yeah, yeah, you all say I'm in the wrong section. FINE. If one person says that, then I already know it, you don't need to say it all. Sorry, and maybe a mod can move it to the good section, who cares anyway.

Second, people on youtube CAN DOWNGRADE from 3.60 and they CAN jailbreak 3.60

I only don't understand how they do it and with which files. So, now my question is and stays: How do you do it (which files etc), can you be banned, and trophy sync still works?

But if you really want to make such a big deal out of this, then I'll post in in the right direction. Not that anyone will ever help you there, no one ever visits that place in this forum, but who cares apparently

so to answer your questions. dont believe people in youtube, because there are a lot of fake videos. also dont believe everything you read if you google something.


there is no possible way to get from 3.60 to 3.55 there is a possible way from 3.56 to 3.55 but you have to brick your ps3 so there has never been a proof because no one tested it so far

you can only jailbreak by having firmware 3.55 or lower.

maybe in future there will be a cfw. for 3.56 and above but up to date you can only have ofw
