i have couple questions
im very new to this and i only know what i read on the forums so hope you can help me
i have 2 ps3 1 i play and go online with and another that just is a reserve one
i now want to make a ps3 with cfw so i can use the savegames that pop up trophys that i miss in certan games
oke so my questions
1. - i have a cfw on ps3 i get a savegame from this site lets say shift or wipeout
putt it in ps3 and start game then what? will trophys pop after playing and how do i get it on my account that i play online with
and i see sometimes FTP the files ??? whats this
2. - then to get this all work i need ofcourse cfw wich is best for this what im doing or wanna do
3. - and whats the best ps3 to do it with because i have slims ps3 does this matter
4. - And how does this downgrading stuff work to a lower firmware so i can istal the custom one
5. - And if i installed cfw can i update again too ofw after a wile if i want that

how do i get this all to work and can someone explain it in NOOB language lol

very simple really, if you want to transfer the cfw save file to your online enabled ps3 all you have to do is:
find the save file you want to use
transfer it over to your cfw ps3 via ftp (i am sure you know how to do this if not the instructions are usually in the topic where you found the save file)
load up the game and save.
exit the game after saving and go to your save game utility
copy the recently saved file to your usb stick (make sure to backup your original save file before you do this because it will overwrite your original previous save file on your usb stick if you have any on there)
plug in the usb stick into your online enabled ps3 and turn the console on
go to save data utility, usb pen drive, and copy the save file over that you recently saved from your cfw ps3, make sure that the save file on your online enabled ps3 is backed up too if you are not bothered about the save file then overwrite, if not copy the original save file to your pc before you overwrite. (it's best to backup any original save files that you wish to keep to your pc so you don't overwrite them by accident before using this guide)
now load up the same game that you loaded on your cfw ps3 and the trophies should pop up, when they have finished popping, press the ps button to sync them and you are done

just a warning there are some cfw save files that cannot be copied over to normal ps3s like copy protected save files as it has a encrypted files that makes it impossible to transfer it to anywhere (they can only be moved and backed up on a cfw ps3), even if you transfer the the copy protected save file from a cfw ps3 to a usb pen drive and then copy it to your legit ps3 it will say "copying is prohibited" so don't waste your time.
also some cfw save files will corrupt as soon as you try to save over them, these files can not be copied over as it will just say the "file is corrupt" and will stop working there is nothing you can do about it and there is currently no work around to bypass this, however the save files that do corrupt can only be used on cfw ps3s and cannot be copied anywhere else, you can still get trophies from these types of save files but you can't use them on any online enabled ps3 or copy them to any online enabled ps3, i wouldn't waste your time with these type of files because you cannot sync these trophies as they will be stuck on your cfw ps3.

rebug cfw, don't waste your time with the 3.55.2 cfw get the 3.55.1 version, it's more stable.

you have a slim so that should be ok, there are a few models that have problems with cfw but i don't know a lot about this, google it and that should give you more info.

Oke i think i got most info then
so first i go find a downgrader ofcourse
then a good cfw that you recomended
then i find safegames that wil pop trophys on cfw
then i do the saving and quiting trick rite??

il wait and sync it oke hope i got it rite now
only 1 thing the ftp the files is this happening on my pc or do i ftp the files on ps3
im not sure yet what ftp is lol i know its a program but what does it do

oh yeah and is it possible to do it without soldering my ps3 dont want to open it
installing stuff is not a problem
and another thing i read alot about is spoof?? and flash
and how do i get my account on a cfw ps3 since it not can go online
