(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So I was thinking about buying another os3 to get online with 3.55 cfw can someone answer my questions.

1) I under stand that data transferring is a feature Sony has been offering for a long time, so I doubt they would take that away with an update, but would they be able to release a patch to stop the transfers that would be needed to play online on my 3.72 online with cfw? Or any patch that would make data transfer method to get cfw online impossible?

2) so with the data transfer, can I do everything on my 3.72 ps3 that I used to be able to do on my ps3 when it was on 3.55?

Thanks Smile

1. No, Sony could never patch data transferring. Most people use it for legitimate reasons. Patching data transferring from CFW to the newest firmware is also not going to happen, but even if it did, you could put on 3.55 OFW temporarily, data transfer and still have every single aspect on your 3.72+ still. This is because..

2. Homebrew cannot be used on OFW, so you will not be able to change patches, download free games, hack trophies, etc. You will just have the modded game data still on your 3.72, working.

Besides hosting modded lobbies and ... modded PSN comments, data transferring from 3.55 CFW to 3.72+ has no features

Also, can I use all of the home brew apps such as emulators offline on my 3.55 ps3?

Not even FTP, you have to data transfer again if you want something new on your 3.72

Edit: yes, 3.55 homebrew (like emulators) can be used on 3.55 CFW.

If I got a 3.55 tps3 that has a blu ray drive that does not read discs other than the fact that I can not play games, would that occlude me from doing anything else? And also, let's say I get a game like residence evil 4, would I be able to mOd that game on my 3.72 using data transfer?
