Hi guys,
this is my first tweak or hack for Max Payne 3
It is in a beta status. i'm updating this if a managed every line of it

NYM Hardcore useless because of one kill scenes
but it works perfect for story!

How to get this to work:
you need a Max Payne 3 Update
this was for Europe
"EP1004-BLES00942_00-MP3PATCH00000002-A0102-V0100-PE"
look @ the update from the site brewology for your region
now you have to options:
you have a cfw with a usb dongle and a spoof to go online later (to sync trophies)
or
you have two ps3:
3.55 CFW PS3 to modify the update then data transfer to 4.11 OFW PS3
FTP -> Replace file (Globalsettings.xml)
in hdd0/game/(your Max Payne 3 region code folder)/USRDIR/common/data

Well as far as I know it will not be saved in the game save. I think the globalsettings.xml (in hdd0/game/(your Max Payne 3 region code folder)/USRDIR/common/data) will be transferred to your ofw 4.11(4.20) with data transfer but I'm not that sure about it.
I'll probably try it out today afternoon as long as my friend gives me his 3.55 ps3
And thanks for confirmation that it's NOT working on 1.03.

You need a save where the game has been completed but yes - using level select. I would say playing on any difficulty would help as the idea is to get to know the level inside out and where all the one hit kill scenes are. You could do this on NYM difficulty but I say that difficulty isn't the problem here - it's knowing what to do and when.
Either that OR use a video guide walkthrough and follow that. This way you will always know whats coming next. Of course, you still have to get through it yourself but it cuts out alot of the guess work.

I can confirm that this is the case, see one of my earlier posts. Basically, the globalsettings.xml file is the one of the files downloaded as part of patch 1.02. When you do a DT, you are transferring the patch (along with the modified settings file) to your OFW PS3.
This is why it won't work by someone simply creating a save with the modded patch. The mod is in the game update and NOT the game save.

Unfortunately I hadn't yesterday enough time to test it but I'll give it today in the evening a try and will report back.
btw there is a new patch released - 1.04 but should be no problem for me because I'm still on 1.02 on my ofw 4.11.

yeah, it should. Its what I did to have my save onto my ofw ps3 before I lost my 1.02 I saved it on my cfw then data transferred to my ofw ps3. Has to be Game Data save though. U can transfer saved game through the usb drive but the hacks are in the Game Data Game update 1.02 which in that case u need a data transfer.
