(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Game Genie doesn't allow us to see their codes :n:

here is the original post from Facebook
With the 04/18/13 update, the PS3 Game Genie save editor has now removed the ability to see the codes they have found.

You can still make your own cheats, but will no longer have offsets found by Game Genie to assist you in making/finding your own.

This was done obviously to combat BSD.

Ok lets talk about it what you think:

i think:
It is just ridiculous. I feel sorry for people who paid for their products (Including myself). Future customers do not know what they are getting into. How is this stealing? The actual fact is, they are stealing user submitted codes and and warping it with freaking DRM (Alway-Online, Can't see Codes and other nonsense) and selling it for profit.

and btw admins i think this is the right forum for this a lots of people here have it

Please do not press the thanks button i dont want profits Happy

In my opinion it's kind of lame. It's not like their codes are going to be much different than anything else anyone makes, unless the game is using some sort of DMA.

I can understand outright ripping off codes, but it's hard to prove if it is Static. Now, if they release 5 codes for a game, and whomever is ripping them off releases 5 codes, with the same values, I can understand. They just made it more difficult for someone not familiar with Hex Editing that much harder. Especially if they used the Quick Mode codes as reference.

yes i think so and one update in a week is to little and then what if they only publish their own persuasive, have in the community gg so many cheats people made but not uploaded that I personally find so sad man does not go with his buyers to

what they are doing is totally anti-consumer, it's making their product more of a pain to learn and to use and anyone who bought it is being screwed over by them changing features like this. they're obviously doing it because they're going to be stealing codes shared by the community (the only thing keeping their prodcut alive, as it launched with so few codes), they're being hypocritical.

not like they can take the high road anyway, they aren't endorsed by Sony or any game company, their product affects things like DLC sales as it is (who's going to buy Dead Space 3 DLC to make the game easier when they can use Game Genie? not many people that's for sure), it affects online games as users can easily mod saves themselves and they do what they do on PC because if they made a product for the console like they did for previous consoles then Sony would just patch them nout in a firmware update, they can't take the high road about anything let alone being hypocrites about code stealing because they're too lazy to do their own job.

He's meaning in Advanced Mode, it no longer shows the Address for the supposedly -Official Codes-. So now you no longer have a reference when using Advanced Mode. So, now you basically have to seek out something that has already been found/listed.

They defeated Ease-of-Use, and crippled beginners(albeit, not by much). I would click the codes on the right, and jump back to a location, instead of having to write it down and search it out. It's personally not a big deal for me, because I've been doing this all for years, I'm just super lazy. I can totally see where people are coming from. Mandatory Downgrade installed! ^^

so you think it's ok for fat cat corporations to bleed us gamers dry with microtransactions after you paid $60 for the game already? i fully support all hackers who stop greedy companies from ripping us off, there is no benefit to you for supporting it, not sure why you are.
