With the 04/18/13 update, the PS3 Game Genie save editor has now removed the ability to see the codes they have found.

You can still make your own cheats, but will no longer have offsets found by Game Genie to assist you in making/finding your own.

This was done obviously to combat BSD.

It is just ridiculous. I feel sorry for people who paid for their products (Including myself). Future customers do not know what they are getting into. How is this stealing? The actual fact is, they are stealing user submitted codes and and warping it with freaking DRM (Alway-Online, Can't see Codes and other nonsense) and selling it for profit.

lol can't believe I wasted money on GG. But this thread is a great reminder/PSA for those looking to buy GG. Advanced mode was so useful for me... and now they just take it away

yes its absolute wrong to take back the Advanced mode but there you see thats they only want profit with his tool but I think brute force has game genie long overtaken the future belongs brute force and there we release all codes not only our own

Well, Advanced Mode is still intact, they just took away the ability to see where exactly specific things are located(you have to find them yourself, which isn't a huge problem). It's dumb, but it's minor. It just irks me because they gave no prior notice, it was just there one day, then gone the next. A Mandatory Update that removes a useful feature is beyond ignorant!

Anyhow, it's not like everyone is limited to just the GG, use a combination of other tools, and it'll all work out in the end.

no i don't at all and i didn't say that, you're putting words in my mouth. my point was that they're hypocrites. they probably did this so they can steal community codes like Ghost said, GG is saying they did this move to stop people stealing codes, yet they steal codes and they make a living off affecting other companies products like DLC - like i said it's ridiculous that they take the moral high ground.

i think most DLC is a rip off, especially microtransactions, but i think taking the high ground about stealing codes and then removing a feature from the product people have already bought and making it more of a pain to learn and use is completely anti-consumer.
