WARNING: When you pick up other guns you lose Infinite Ammo don't pick up other guns

The problem with infinite ammo is that during the progress of the story alone you lose it by default. There is no way to avoid two specific points from happening that forces the infinite ammo to go bye bye. Only way I got it back was by modding the save myself again right after those two parts of the story. But if you are complete with the story then even after picking up other weapons, the ammo remains infinite while you go about the islands blowing and shooting stuff up just for fun.

i modded mine with game genie and never lose the infinite ammo, even when you pick a new gun up it sticks

What else could you mod with game genie? Like money? backpack space?

just unlimited ammo and 10k cash! i will upload a starter save later

I'm pretty sure I already know the answer to this question (which is no), but is it possible to mod an offline co-op save with infinite ammo or health? Just curious if it's doable or not.
