but I already spent $90 on some badass headphones. I got $23 back because they went on sale like 2 days after I bought them. So I'm buying the cheap one. I won't be able to tell if it's effective, because I still have yet to get my PS3 back (got pissed off and punched a hole in the wall, gotta fix all 8 now), but it should prolong the life of it for at least a bit.

Well, not just for overheating, but constant heat wears shit down. If my PS3 runs at 95 degrees F, I'd rather have it at 80 or less. So, I want it to last, I'll cough up 20 bucks for something.

I like the idea. PS3's run really hot sometimes, plus it's mostly on carpet. I want it running cooler. I could run it in brutally hot conditions or cold ones, but it's bad for it. Stuff breaks, so I want to take care of it best I can.

yea, mine is on carpet and is almost always on. you gotta be careful nowadays lol YLOD is startin to spread. i might look into getting a fan.

Fans sound like Jets, trust me they make it heat up more.
