Chatting with Play Magazine, Zimmerman said the PS3’s added technical prowess means that games such as Uncharted 2 and the electricity-charged sequel could never be replicated on 360.

"There's just more processing power on the PS3. If you look at games like Uncharted 2 that's a game that you actually can't do on Xbox no matter how clever you are."

"InFamous 2 is going to be the same way," he added. "You'll look at it and see that there's no way we could have done this game on 360."

Still, it took the team at Sucker Punch a while to get to grips with the console’s tricky architecture, with Zimmerman conceding the studio made some “dumb decisions” with the original inFamous.

"In technical terms the biggest thing that we've done is migrate a much larger part of our code to run on the SPUs," he explained.

"The PS3 has this elaborate architecture where there's a whole bunch of different places you can have your code run and we had it all running in the slow part."

inFamous 2 is scheduled for release in 2011.

We're not talking about the GPU and CPU, you said Infamous 2 could be on 360 I said it couldn't.

And it could if the developer took the time to make it on the 360.

No the game has too much stuff on it that it CAN'T no matter how much compressing they do can it go on to the 360.
The PS3 can hold way more.
Maybe it could be held if they removed a load of stuff.

There's a lot of things (read: compromises) the developer can make to make the game run. It doesn't have to look just like the PS3 version (ha here we are saying that Infamous looked great) but it can be made on the 360 if the developer decided to make the game multiplatform.

Also you're the one acting immaturely. Any 360 game can be ported on the PS3 and vice versa if someone took the time.

Great news IMO. The PS3 is by far the superior console when it comes down to hardware etc. People may have their personal preferences but they can't argue with facts.

Long gone are the days where we should have to change discs to play the same game. I think it's embarrassing for Microsoft to be so far behind technologically.
