PS3 Slim Goes White, HDD Increases To 320GBThere are new versions of the PlayStation 3 coming, with new hard drive sizes and new colours. And as is custom, they're hitting Japan first.


First things first: in Japan, the PS3 will cease to be made available in 120GB and 250GB sizes, and instead come in 160GB and 320GB versions. These new models will be released in Japan on July 29, and for the first time will see the PS3 Slim available in two colours: the existing black and "Classic White".

The 160GB model will cost ¥29,980 (USD$340), while the 320GB version will retail for ¥34,980 (USD$400).

As of now, details on this expansion to the PS3 range have been confined to the Japanese market; we'll update should we hear anything of Sony's plans for the PAL regions or North America.

I can buy a HDD of 500gb for my PS3 and spray paint it white. So new slim? CUSTOM ****ING MADE!!!

I paid 300 for my 80gig slim. Bought a 320gig HDD for 60. Now I have a 320gig slim for under 400 AND 1 80gig HDD to boot. So it may seem like a sweet deal but its not.

Why would you even need 150Gb? Fair enough if buy games every week. But for me. I only play Call Of Duty 4-6 + My bro plays need for speed. Thats not even 30gb?

Haha, I got a fat PS3, and it's 360GB imported from Germany, I could spray paint it white and say it's one of the new PS3s, MUCH? Well, I can also buy up to 500GB HDD for about $200USD, rip off...

Some games have a large download size for the patches and game data. I have a 80GB PS3 and only have about 8GB left, game data takes up alot of space for me, so a 150GB HDD would be good.
