PS3 Slim Goes White, HDD Increases To 320GBThere are new versions of the PlayStation 3 coming, with new hard drive sizes and new colours. And as is custom, they're hitting Japan first.


First things first: in Japan, the PS3 will cease to be made available in 120GB and 250GB sizes, and instead come in 160GB and 320GB versions. These new models will be released in Japan on July 29, and for the first time will see the PS3 Slim available in two colours: the existing black and "Classic White".

The 160GB model will cost ¥29,980 (USD$340), while the 320GB version will retail for ¥34,980 (USD$400).

As of now, details on this expansion to the PS3 range have been confined to the Japanese market; we'll update should we hear anything of Sony's plans for the PAL regions or North America.

Fair enough 150gb, But 350 is just ridiuclous.

350GB does seem like alot. I don't think anyone really needs that much HD space for a PS3, I could be wrong though.

Good for tons of music,movies etc^^ but im fine with 250

black def looks better imo

I wouldn't mind it if its the same price as the 250gb one, If not I'd just buy that one though. + 1000 songs is only about 1 gig, And its hard to know around 5000 = 5 gig, Films around 3 gig each, say 10 films 30 gig. And 10 games 10 gig each = about 135 gig ?

Not to sure if games are 10 gig each, Just thought it would be around that

I had been thinking of buying a 2nd PS3 and that white one looks preety sweet to contrast the Fat Black Beast so I'd consider it. Only thing is if you buy them from Japan the DVD region code wouldn't match that of U.S. right??

i want the white one so badly..

Thats why im buying a ps3 but im getting the black ps3 slim if they drop the price 50$ to get rid of those
