Post: Help getting a game out of the PS3
08-27-2010, 01:40 AM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So when my PS3 hit the YLOD, I had Modern Warfare 2 in the system, and now it won't stay on long enough for the game to eject (even when I start it up by hitting the eject button.) If anyony is able to give me a way to get the game out of the system so I can play it when I buy my new PS3, it would be much appreciated. +rep to the guy that can give me an easy method that works.

Thanks!

You're Goddamn Right
true story.....

was a few weeks after the release of MW2, i couldnt go a day without it.

My PS3 failed and my "MW2 disk" was stuck inside so i smashed it to bits to get the disc.

When i finally get to the disc drive, i notice there is no disc inside, so i look around and its beside the tv /facepalm:embarrassed:

FAIL

I'll try the back power button, trick hopefully that works. If not how hard is opening the PS3 and getting to the disk drive? I don't really care if I break something since it's already broken and I'm getting that new one in September with all the money I made from my job.

when i got YLOD i had to take my PS3 apart as SONY refused 2 replace it as it was out of warranty and they wanted £45 just to look at the PS3 even before fixing it!!! Worst feeling ever taking it apart just make sure its ur last option before doing it!

The holding the eject button while turning the power on didn't work out so well, still didn't come out of the system. Any other suggestions besides opening the PS3 up?

If I were gonna ship it I would just buy a new PS3, since it'd be much better to just get a new one for an extra hundred or so dollars than to spend like $200 shipping for repairs and waiting for 6-8 weeks.
