(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Okay so i have a ps3 that i've had for a while but it has no video or sound. Idk whats wrong with it. Once it's on it doesn't turn off either. I have to use the switch in the back to turn it off, although the eject button works.

What i've done
- Tried the hold the button down twice to get to the boot menu. that failed because the video and audio still didn't work.

- I've tried changing the HDD with a HDD that i know for sure works. That didn't work either.

What else could be wrong with the thing?

turn it off from the switch while its on or hold the on/off button for 10 seconds ,15 to be sure it will beep a couple of times ..
then turn it back on might come up with a screen that says
you didnt turn the system of properly what settings do you want to use
if not get the AV cables and try reset it to HD

This same thing just happened to me!! I was playing medal of honor when all of a sudden the screen went all fuzzy and then nothin no pic or sound. I tried pic reset by holding the power button till it beeped three times still nothin. I tried using a diff hdmi cable with the same results. Anyone know how to fix this it would be much appreciated.

The only explanation for this prob that i have been able to find so far is that the gpu has fried. Which in that case would explain why their is no pic. Did u use hdmi as your video out from your ps3?

Yeah i tried everything. Thats what i hear too, except i heard the gpu wasn't on the board all the way, which ih fixed, but still no luck so maybe it fried

the wire that goes to ur tv with the red white and yellow colours is broken or it is no pluged corretly just make sure on ur tv and on ur ps3 in the back
