(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Okay so recently my dad smashed his computer (Yeah he does that alot.) and It was newer than my PS3. Anyways I opened it up and I got the hard drive out and tried installing it in my PS3. So I tried my PS3 and it says something about and error. I did the reset and when I tried installing the OS but every time it says critical error. By the way I didn't format it. So can anyone help?

Your PS3 should format the hard disk for you. I've got a 300gb drive in mine. It detected a new drive, asked me if I wanted to format, of course I said yes, it did its thing and it works fine. If you have a 3.41 system search the web for the 3.41 pup throw it on a usb stick and have it plugged in.

There are a few TUTs on the web, yahoo, bing, altavista, lycos, and of course google will all point you in the right direction Search terms "Upgrade PS3 hard disk" with quotes.
