Anyone on just now to do it for me?
i will give you all my vbux. I was waiting on Colin to do it but if someone can do it now it will be better no newb with like 1-10 posts.

I know that this glitch has its own unique way of working. if it doesn't work for you its ok cause it doesn't work for everyone. And these are the stuff that i came a across when i was doing the glitch for many people.

Here is what you should know:

1. the glitch doesn't work for every one
2. sometimes the glitch works on different stage of prestige
3. it works perfectly when about to do first glitch
4. Works on all models of ps3( i tested on 40, 60 and 80gb. my friend did it on his 20gb and worked perfectly)
5. have patient cause sometimes it works but it takes about some time to load the ranks up properly.
6. its common sense a 10 year old can do the glitch
7. try using different methods i know there is more then 1
8. there is lucky and unlucky accounts. if the glitch doesnt work your account is unlucky.
9. when done with the glitch you should play more and have more hours and days played or treyarch (might) demote you or take action i think.
10. glitch works even if your account is linked with cod.com
11. this glitch works the same way for Call of Duty 4 Modern warfare(Hope fully it works for cod 4 modern warfare 2 as well)

Other info if it doesn't work on your current account:
You should make a new account and make that go to level or rank 65 and do the glitch. So you have a 10th prestige account.

The TUTORIAL to do the PRESTIGE GLITCH for XBL and XMB:
1. Your rank has to be 65 to do this glitch.

2. Next go online and go to barracks on call of duty world at war.

2. Keep on going till its says "Enter Prestige"

3. Press enter prestige then count 1..2.. then right after counting 1..2.. unplug your Ethernet cable from your console(ps3 or xbox 360)

4. when you unplug your Ethernet cable it should say "connection to the internet is disconnected" or something like that on right top corner.

5. Hold the touch power button on the front of the ps3 until it turns off completely(for xbox 360 just hold button on front of xbox 360)

6. Now plug back your Ethernet cable then turn back your console(ps3 or xbox 360)

7. keep on repeating to go to your desire prestige level of rank.

8. If you have gone to rank 1 when you did the glitch then certainly go enter a match then leave game you should be back to rank 65 and your prestige level that you was. there is chance that the glitch doesn't work for all accounts.

Update:
this glitch works for both XBL(xbox 360) and XMB(ps3). same way as the ps3. i personally didnt tested but a friend did and said its good and working for 360.

if you find something that you know and others don't please post it here so others can know and be helped with their question's and i will be updating this thread with new knowledge that i get every time.

Ethernet Way;
1.Go to Barricks
2.click on Prestige and keep going until it says"enter prestige"
3.Click "enter prestige" the count ONE..TWO then pull out the ethernet cable from the back of your PS3
4.Hold the power switch located on the FRONT of the ps3(the touch screen part)
5.When ps3 is off insert the ethernet cable again.
6.repeat

its self explanatory and easy. and this guide isn't mine.

im gonna try the glitch when i get home (lol im at school)

Yeah, we people know this but thanks for the information. It would be good if it worked on xbox 360!

does this work on the xbox ?

if ure account is linked to callofduty.com it will not work trust me iff it is unlink and it will work thts why people say it doesn't work
