Theory
Every file has it own MD5 hash, so does every official FW released by sony. If sony checked the MD5 hash of the FW it would be able to see if people are using CFW or not since the smallest adjustment in the FW would change the md5. If sony has a way to check the MD5 before connecting to PSN, sony would be able to see if someone is using OFW or CFW.
Would this work for sony? Don't get me wrong I love the hacking and stuff but it was just a theory...
doesnt change a thing.. they arent really concerned about people online theyre concerned about piracy.. and piracy will forever go on until they bring out newer models with different hardware ect
