well, i recently upgraded my ps3 to a 500gb.. you need to buy a hard drive which is 2.5" only and the max you can get at the moment is 500gb.

Also you should try that it runs on 5,400 rpm and not 7,200.... so that it doesnt heat up a lot.

It works perfect so far.... and finally no more worries about disk space....

i have 40gb regular im not looking for too much maybe just like 100gb cuss my space is getting low i mean its in the 5kmb and thats crazy

The requirements are that it is a 2.5" SATA compatible drive, which is pretty much most of them. I have a 250 gb 7200 rpm 16 cache hdd installed currently for at least 6 months + w/o any issue. I purchased mine from here You must login or register to view this content.

I'm not sure where you're from, but if you have a favorite electronics store they should have them. Newegg is often the cheapest imo

To summarize everything that everyone just said, just go to Best Buy and ask for a laptop hard drive

I recently installed Samsung SPINPOINT HM500 "2.5 SATA and FAT32" for compatability. Easy install, no problems transferring old data from original 40 gb hd. I got mine from Amazon.
