(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Sony has created a new security key (which is what geohot used to block backup manager). Do Not update if you wish to continue running hombrew. What I am going to try and do is take a look in their .pup and see if I can change things to make it so that we can update and still keep all of our beloved features.

My information may be a little of, apparently my update got ****ed up.

Edit: Apparently if you update from CFW it will take away the feature to update via usb however, if you update to 3.50 official then update to 3.56, it wont take it away.

Yes and also they cant patch the recovery for risk of non-fixable bricks so you should still have the update via usb option in the recovery menu Happy

Yeah, I still have the "Update Via Storage Media" I also plugged in the 3.55 Geohotz jb and the firmware popped up... Yet I didn't click on it to install it.

Your update got ****ed up on 1 part yeh, But you are correct you can no longer run homebrew on 3.56 tried and tested with 2ps3.

Is it safe for me to update normally? i was on 3.55 ofw then 3.55 cfw then 3.55 ofw. So should i be ok and not get bricked?
