PS3UPDATE.PUP ( Download OFW 3.56 @ Sony.com )

1. Intall Python on your Pc ( Choose What you need )
2. Go To Documents and create a folder Called "PS3 Hacking"
3. Open "PS3 hacking" Create a new Folder Called "Puppy"
4. Extract Puppy.zip in Folder "Puppy"
5. Go back to "PS3 Hacking" create a new folder called "UPDATE"
6. Open "UPDATE" Create a new folder called "OFW"
7. Go Back to "UPDATE" Create a new Folder called "CFW"
8. now if you have 3.56 ofw create an folder 3.56 in "OFW"
9. Put 3.56 OFW in "3.56"
10. Open Puppy.exe
11. Make sure its on UNPACK
12. Select the OFW 3.56 and Put Destination "CFW" -> "3.56"
13. Click Run!
14. Now you have Unpacked .PUP
15. go into "CFW" -> "3.56" and make 2 new folders : "vsh" & "update_files"
16. Drag those files having the same name to their Folder .
17. Go Into "update_files" and extract winzip folder
18. Go into "vsh" and extract winzip folder
19. Now what you need to know :

Version : Tells What version the update is
Update_Flags : Leave it 0000
ps3swu.self : .self ( to make this TUT not to big look @ google )
license : you can edit this to make your own text appear
Dots : Leave it ...
Update_Files : wow allot .pkg (get an good .PKG unpacker/Packer)
vsh : Leave that

20. now get an good .pkg unpacker/Packer ( sorry dont have it for you look @ google )

for editing the .pkg files and what to edit look @ google
every CFW is different it depends on what YOU want to edit.
i cant show you how to do it , that will lead into allot of Fake CFW which may brick a ps3 .

I Dont want have that to happen so look @ google for .pkg editing .

Note : for .pkg editing you may need some skills ...

Ive just learned to do all this with the fail0verflow and sony sdk tools, now you just click a button? ugh...

Nevertheless nice i know a lot of people would like one place with all the stuff, plus i think it will give some of the other devs a rest from constant questions.

with the same Programm where you unpacked it with (Puppy)

if its not working search google for puppy , find their site and look at the puppy tut how to pack if its not working

Yes this is a nooby question but i did this and it says no applicible update found? i changed the version.txt but to no success..

you cant JUST change you version.txt then it wont work

Good point i added blckb0x ftp into the install_files folder (so it installs auto) then changed them both to tar files, just gonna find out how to decrypt EBOOT or SELF files, any more tips? lol

so why put in the 3.56 OFW into a folder (it wont make a CFW for 3.56 will it)

its easy to understand if your know how a computer works

Another tip from a Dev =D : with this you can SIGN thing if you know what i mean

like Hombrew or CFW doesnt matter as long as you have the Key Data you can sign it with those programs
