Yes it will make it go back to the original factory settings.
you will lose all saved content.There are 2 different restore options on the PS3.

1) A short restore that only takes a couple of minutes and is more like a repair. So you might want to try that first.
2) A complete restore of the system that will take it back to the day you bought it.

i some how read that but lol so if i reset it mow its 12 pm and aparntly it takes 14 hour to do a complet restore but i would like to know if it will take 14 hours and if i did not that im a big fan of black ops but if i hace a conscle ban will it relese that ban?? and im repping you now so thanks and if you can help me with this ill rep twice

It can take anywhere from 2 hours to 14 hours it depends how much data is on hard drive, just Quick format it if you dont want to wait that long.

nar i got like nothing on my ps3 besides like the ofw and like 3 game updates so i think it might take like 3 hours max
