Wow guys this really works? Cause i formatted my ps3 like a week again then i went to take a look in system information section and my ps3 is still on 3.56. And by the way whats the difference between restoring and formatting. And what i need to do and where

One formats the hard drive. The other restores info to the hard drive, a quick format takes seconds, a full format takes hours. The difference is that with a full format it wipes down everything, A quick format overwrites the data once.

so you completly formated your ps3 with the long restore and how long did it take you and did you have to update you ps3 to 3.56???????

No if i remember it took like 10 seconds it was saying formatting ps3 hdd or something like that. But shloud i do:
-quick formating
-long formatting
-restore default settings
-or restore ps3 system?

And dont forget to back up all your games and stuff brlefore performing this. Btw im on my ipod to so its long to write all...

yeah i wrote this on my ipod but no one was on the computer so after i wrote the longest thread on the ipod i though what a dumbass i am lol but im going to do the 1 that fully restores my ps3

um i just started my full format just then and it will takke 7hours and 1 minute axaclly lol so in 7 hours AND 1 min i will have a ps3 on 3.41 firm were hopefully

Hahaha me itll take 4 hours 45 mins. Its not so bad but it still long. And if it comes back to the firmware it was when i bought it i will be like on 3.1 or something like that. Then ill update to 3.55 then put cfw
