(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So, a while back when my friend needed me to fix his PS3 because he unplugged it during a system update. He was on 3.21 and he was trying to update to 3.41. Then whenever I turn his PS3 on, it says system update failed or something, attempting to update again. Then gives error 8002F147. Every time I try to update it, it stops around 30% then says the same thing. That is the only menu that appears when I turn it on. The XMB doesn't even show up. No sound. I tried putting it in recovery mode and updating it from a flash drive and it does the same thing. PLEASE HELP!!! Is this a brick or something???

Unplug it again... Then turn it on but try going into recovery mode, then... re-format the hard drive... of reset... (clear the old update off the hdd) then try update using USB! Smile

Cool, I'll look into it more then... Just that update data is stored on the HDD whilst updating to be safe, (it might be like half on there! :P )
