Summary:

-Jets, helis, boats, and all other standard Battlefield 2 vehicles will be included
-PC will support 64 man online matches and WILL have dedicated serves
-Console gamers are going to have 24 man matches and have not yet received word on dedicated servers
-Battlefield 3 is not a sequel to the 2010's Battlefield Bad Company 2, Battlefield 3 is a sequel to the award winning Battlefield 2 which is a PC exclusive
-Battlefield 3 is supposed to have a beta sometime BEFORE October 12, 2011, Medal of Honor Pre-orders included a beta code that will be dispersed at time of beta release
-May be player customization as in most RPG games, no official word from the developers yet
-New revamped Frostbite 2.0 engine that supports better lighting and higher detail and realism
-Destruction will be in this edition of Battlefield
-Maps to be 3 times bigger than BFBC 2 maps
-Will release in second half of 2011
-Will have prone ability

Maps 3x bigger than BFBC2 + prone? There needs to be at the very least 32x32 on consoles for this to work.

Well the developers said that they can change the player count at any given time, but for now on consoles its 24 players (12 vs. 12).
