Sony S1 Playstation Android Honeycomb tablet release date and price rumors

Engadget, the first to break with rumors of the Sony S1 Honeycomb tablet, has updated their story to give more details on the upcoming gaming tablet. According to their source, the dual-core Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet has a slated release date of sometime in September 2011 and will come with a price tag of $599, approximately $100 more than the iPad WiFi-only model.

While there isn't a lot of information on the tablet, the source dubs it as "the best thing" they have ever seen from Sony. And from the details, we're thinking it will resemble the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play smartphone in more ways than one.

Nevertheless, it looks like Sony is slowly building an ecosystem of Android gaming devices. More on this as it develops.

Is it me or did she sound bad @ss saying "that big purple Mother [email]F@#$%^"...LOL[/email] I haven't really researched this whole wave of TABLETS that are releasing but if there anything like the IPAD I think I will pass. However if I could play games or interact with my PS3 with this SONY tablet then it might be worth taking a look at it. :beer:
