Try rebuilding data base or restoring file system

It's because you have too much things on your HDD which could be slowing up your system, e.g. copied games from multiman and other things.

The only thing that IS in my hdd is a failed final fantasy 13 file which I deleted as I loaded up multiman.

and slow as in when I turn it on, it shows up the into thingy and then takes about 10-20 seconds for the user selection to pop up. and 5-15 seconds for icons to load, and 15-40 for multiman to load but never reads my hdd anymore.

this happened to me a few times but it sorted itself after awhile it happened again and i had about 100gb of movies on my hdd i deleted some stuff restarted my ps3 and it hasent happen since try cleaning up ur hdd and see if it works for u im not promising anything but hasnt happened to me since
