well if you want generic go for CoD if you want imaginitive go for bioshock 1&2 which are awesome as then theres killzone and bulletstorm

Well.. COD4 is the answer. It is just so old school.

You wanna have a blast and customize your character and your weapons ect. go with COD games, you like that alien kinda killing, go with Killzone 2, want a realistic kinda game go with Raimbow six Vegas 2, or you a sniper type of guy go with battlefield BC:2 (only cause the sniper in this game is the realistic by far.) and if you like BFBC:2, you will like medal of honor haha

Modern Warfare 1 single player was the best for me.

Killzone 3 is amazing, but that is because I am used to Call of Duty, and to me, it seems like this game takes a ton of skill, although experienced Killzone players say it is too easy.

Killzone 3 is a great game though, I would definitely at lesat rent it.
