IF you are on 3.41 firmware and do no have the internet to update to 3.60....... then any game that requires 3.42 firmware or above WILL NOT run on your ps3. You would have to update your PS3 SYSTEM to the latest firmware to play the game.

I think you are refering to updates for the game. After a ps3 game is made, there are patches released to fix errors and glitches...now you DO NOT need internet to play the game in regards to updating it.

i repeat if your ps3 system is on a lower firmware than from what the game requires it WILL NOT WORK without a modified eboot

I understand what you are saying, but a few months ago, maybe even a year. I got a game that required me to get a new firmware, i did not have internet at the time. Then bam, firmware started to install from the disk

they can be a hacker who works on it but I think the most part it focuses on firmware 3.55 which is a real gold mine for them.
