The latest legal response from George Hotz’s group of attorneys seems to be pointed out to the fact that SCEA has been aggressively defending the PlayStation 3 console hardware despite not having the sufficient rights to do so. The only lawful act that Sony Computer Entertainment America LLC (SCEA) has are on the products and video games and as what we have known Geohot’s code does not has the ability to pirate any sort of video games.

And to what they have been shitting us on circumventing the system, they have no rights to do so. Sony Japan manufactures and owned the code in the system, the programmers tool etc. Even when we accept the click through agreements on the PS3, it’s all directed to Sony Japan. The instructions manuals websites, outer box reference, everything, except the PSN service.

Another point from SCEA seems to be accusing geohot to use the said PSN account, blickmanic to gain something that is from SCEA’s online service. They further claims the account is created using the same serial number of that geohot’s PlayStation 3 console. Well, apparently, the real blickmanic has to say this:

Guys, this is all a misunderstanding …That console that Sony talks about is mine and the PSN account was created by me!!! See, I live next door to George Hotz and we’ve always been good friends. At the time I bought the console, I was waiting to be connected to the internet by my ISP so I asked Hotz if I could use his for a while…Good neighbours, that’s all… SUCK THIS $ONY :thefinger::thefinger::thefinger:

It is still unclear whether it is really the person thought but there you go, i hope the case will soon be over and every devs out there will have a peace of mind. I know one person who is reluctant to release a very cool homebrew application because of this ongoing lawsuit.

Can’t trickshot me!
I hope he wins, but it just isn't looking good for him. Regardless of what he removed, he tampered with evidence. The courts do not care when he paid for his vacation, if he was under subpoena when he left the country, he is in some deep shit. For being so damn smart, the man is sure making some elementary level errors. Maybe all he knows is coding, kind of like Einstein couldn't balance his own finances. Lately it just seems as though his legal defense team is grasping at straws. I guess all we can do is wait and see.

I kind of hope they find a way to bring this whole hacking the PS3 to a close, it gets a little tiresome seeing games you pay 60 bucks for getting ruined by kids who don't even know how to code running around claiming they're hackers. Look what happened to MW2.

Now, before you all start jumping down my throat, I support your right to hack your console. It's your console, it belongs to you, the servers I game on however, do not. I support your rights to masturbate while strangling yourself, smoke pot in your own home, and have sex with farm animals you purchased too. That doesn't mean I want any of those things to interfere with my life in any manner.

In Flames Much?
It pretty hard to find out if this is real or not
All the information from the courts so far have been from 3rd parties not direct.

It would appear geohotz trying to get the case over by winning on a loop hole
Clever
Looks to me can't win lets find a hole.

Sadly the law no matter what your original point was does not side with allowing a closed system open.
Wrong ?
Maybe which is what geohotz fighting for however that does not mean a open door to pirates. That what geo has done open a big hole for sony no matter how noble the point was to start with.
This is going to take ages before it legal to jailbreakk home consoles.

Still i take each bit of news from 3rd parties with salt
