Things you will need:

PS3 (Can be banned from Black Ops)
PS3 Serial Number
Phone (to call SONY or to get them to call you)
Photoshop
Customreceipt.com

1. To start off download my blank receipt You must login or register to view this content.
2. Open it in Photoshop, then make a receipt on customreceipt.com.
3. Copy the information from the customreceipt image onto the blank receipt.
4. Now you can either phone SONY or E-mail them:

-Phone- Phone SONY and make up some garbage about how your ps3 randomly crashes and resets on a regular basis, give them your serial number, address etc, they should ask for your proof of purchase (our receipt we made), they will say you can fax it or post it, tell them you will FAX in the receipt, now go ahead and FAX in the receipt, someone from SONY will give you a call in a day or so and arrange a date to exchange the console on your door step.

-Email- E-mail SONY and make up some garbage about how your ps3 randomly crashes and resets on a regular basis, tell them you dont have a landline to phone them from so you will need someone to from SONY to phone you, leave your mobile number in the E-mail, when they phone you back give them your serial number, address etc, they should ask for your proof of purchase (our receipt we made), they will say you can fax it or post it, tell them you will FAX in the receipt, now go ahead and FAX in the receipt, someone from SONY will give you a call in a day or so and arrange a date to exchange the console on your door step.

After doing this i got a new ps3 on 3.15, so for anyone that "ACCIDENTLY" updated or their "BROTHER" got them banned from Black Ops, try it and post your results, oh and for anyone thats going to say proof or gtfo, go try it then post your proof cause I didnt plan on making a tutorial so i dont have any proof.

It wouldn't take Sony much effort to check online records and see whether a PSN account has been created on that specific machine before the date of purchase according to your fake receipt.

Just saying this is risky business that I wouldn't dare to gamble with. As already posted, this is fraud and without doubt against the law.

I think that this won't work Sony ain't as dumb as you may think.

The thing is it already worked, they must be dumb to send me a ps3 on 3.15 which i could easily update and jailbreak.

I done this got my 3.60 changed for a 3.55 today =)

lol I wouldnt try this unless you can afford another PS3. Sony can easily check whether an account has been made on that machine before then end of the warranty. Also, if you do do this, you could easily JailBreak as the PS3 system wont be on 3.60 or 3.56.
