(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); It seems that Anonymous is back at Sony, again. If you have been experiencing the PSN error code 80710D36, it is most likely the DDoS attacks. The Anonymous group has asked Sony for three things, and if they refuse to do so, they will NOT stop DDoSing their websites. People have been able to login, but it is quite slow.

This group has asked Sony for 3 things:

1. Sony must allow for end-user modification of the PS3, as was available prior to the 3.21 firmware update.

2. Sony must end any attempts to bring legal action to alter a product they own.

3. Sony must not pursue legal action against any collected IP address.

The demands seem almost too good to be even considered by Sony, it will be interesting to see how Sony handles this.

Are you able to sign in on PSN? Do you think Sony will consider the demands Anonymous has made? Let us know via comments below.

Nextgenupdate.com is no way affiliated or promotes the actions of the “Anonymous” hacking group. We are simply reporting the news story circulating around the web for this group claiming actions of official Sony server downtime. We discourage any promotion of DDoSing other servers and keep in mind this is ILLEGAL in most countries.

Lol, DDoSing... that's their big tool and threat? I guess they really are just script kiddies afterall. Didn't 4chan do something like this to their own website once? I'm sorry, but these kids are just pathetic.

Maybe someone should start DDoSing their various servers.

We have previously listened to a statement stating that this is only poking and prodding.. The real attacks are yet to come.. you will see

Just empty threats until they actually pull off the "real attacks".

Anyone can DDoS a server if they really wanted to. I'm not impressed by that stuff. That's the kind of thing that an immature kid does when he doesn't get his way. It's paramount to simply stomping your feet and yelling so that the people around you get annoyed.

Don't let these little things they're doing impress you, it'll only add to their already inflated ego.

Went to go watch a video of what you were talking about.

I think Sony, being the major corporation that they are, and dealing in thousands of bank transactions all the time, probably has a little more website security than the Westboro baptist church. Many websites, especially when designed without a good knowledge of security vulnerabilities is going to be "hackable" through different techniques.

What they did with that website, I think they'll find much more difficult to do against a company like Sony.. otherwise, it would have likely been done by now.

They also vandalised a twitter account.. Search "Anonymous attack Julian Assange"

They also attacked Mastercard and Paypal.. However that was only a DDoS

Gaining unauthorized access to a twitter account is hardly impressive IMO. And the fact that they could only DDoS Mastercard and Paypal says something about their capabilities. They operate through known vulnerabilities, something most websites dealing with banking information take great care into securing and protecting. If they didn't, and that information got leaked, they'd be facing lawsuits up the ass. They can't afford that kind of risk.

That's why they're resorting to DDoSing.

I think, if anything, the worst we'll see is them trying to attack their partners, rather than anything with sony themselves (at least in relation to the PS3).
