What Sony is "Suppressing" is the information that allows people to bypass anti-piracy measures. Sony is within their legal right to do so.

You didn't HAVE to download the update that removed the otherOS feature. You didn't HAVE to download any of their updates for that matter. When you CHOOSE to update however, you are agreeing to let them remove that feature. There is nothing illegal about you letting them do that.

As far as Piracy goes... I'm sure every developer/actor/artist out there cares about piracy, as their money is made through sales of the game.

You enjoy playing Call of Duty? Well, what do you think is going to happen when the games stop selling? No more Call of Duty. Same with any other game out there. When they're not making money from it, they stop producing it.



I don't care that they took away the OtherOS feature because I have never had a desire to use it. I had no problem saying "Ok, you can take that away.". If you cared so much about losing the features, stop upgrading your firmware. By doing so, you are AGREEING to let them remove those things.

And yes, you ARE just a cheerleader. Until you actually start taking action yourself, all you're going to be is the guy who sits on the sidelines saying "Go team!".



Piracy has always been illegal, I'm not sure where you got the idea that it only just became illegal recently. If you hate sony so much, stop purchasing their products and games for their systems. Take action, or quit complaining.
