This game is currently not playable on CFW PS3′s and none of the previous methods have been reported working (such as PARAM.SFO editing, Dean Eboot decrypter). Portal 2 is encrypted using the new FW 3.60 keys and as we know those have not been released/discovered yet (publicly anyways).

Many of you have been asking why does Dragon Age 2 work – the reason is because DA2 was a FW 3.56 required, not FW 3.60.

Before there was no need really to find a solution for CFW 3.60, but now that new games being released are demanding the new firmware requirement you can be hopeful that a solution will be out soon.

This is true, and will also be true for games released in the next few months (maybe infamous 2 etc as well!). The only way is to find they keys to decrypt the eboot, or, someone to finally release an 3.60 CFW. Both seems unlikely on this point, since most devs refuse to work on 3.60 - or even acknowledge they are interest doing that.

Homebrew like Showtime make me think CFW is worthwhile to hold on to though, and the reduced load times after i dumped a game on the HDD.

this will only have less people buying there game =P

I don't know why everyone thinks that CFW is strictly for piracy only? I'll be honest I am pretty against piracy, I mainly used my CFW just to use/unlock different things on the ps3 that weren't available before, such as Homebrew.

Its crackable because you can still hack it if you have the keys, a big step up would be more like make it unplayable even if you have the keys...

What about PS3ITA CFW? Doesn't that fool games into thinking that the system is on 3.60?
