ok i just went on my ps3 then suddenly it didnt seem to work
When i turn it on it just freezes nothing on my tv screen
Also i did go to recovery mode that seemed to work
Tried everything on whats in recovery mode
Nothing worked same results


Need help

that wouldnt work because im able to go in recovery mode
i think its to do with the hdd
cos isnt the recovery mode thing stored in the nand?

then do a quick format from RM

take out the HD from the side and see if theres dust or something try getting another drive to work on your ps3

I discussed a similar problem on another forum a while ago.

I am going to assume you already did the AV reset by holding the power button until it double beep.

A few quick questions:-
1. Does it load AND eject BD disks?
2. If the BD is in, does the blue light comes on?
3. Is the light still green when the screen is blank?

As a suggestion, open your cover of the PS3, disconnect and take out your blue ray drive and HDD. Boot it up and see if you get any messages (While open).

After this, carefully reconnect all ribbon cables you can see, and the same for the BD drive, not keep the HDD out for now. Start it up with the cover still open. IF that work, put the HDD back, and switch it back on.

If you can let me know the result of this I might be able to direct you further.

If it isn't hacked/jailbroken/CFW and it is recently bought (within 2 years I think) you can send it in to Sony and they will fix it. If they can't they will send you a new one (if you are still under warranty). My PS3 had a similar problem, I just sent it in and got a brand new one :p
