Here in the latest Famitsu issue (Japanese magazine), you can see what appears to be Raiden from MGS4. (Take note the bandana over his eye). Also you see Big Boss or another clone of him. (Big Boss always wore an eyepatch on his right eye).

I have owned every MGS since it came out on PS1 and I would consider myself a huge fan so I am really excited that they will be releasing another addition! Unlike everybody else on this thread I wasnt a fan of Raiden really. I wonder where this story will start? I thought MGS4 was EPIC but I also really liked snake eater. Id say out of all the MGS bosses I've played throughout the years fighting "The End" has got to be my fav (use the microphone and sneak up on him an shootem in the head with a tranq )

It may be another prequel like MGS3, or continue off of MGS4. So far there's just tornadoes of speculation forming around the internet. So far, a new Metal Gear game was confirmed along with the PSP Go! in June's Qore.

Btw, The End was one of the best bosses, there aren't many sniper bosses in the Metal Gear Series. (Just The End and Sniper Wolf)
