(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Someone just told me 3.55 rebug people can access psn... Don't you think sony is scheduling this so called maintenance in order to find those whom are doing this and somehow preventing and/or banning them from access? This wouldn't be the first time they did something like this. And yes, there is no proof on this, it is just a theory. What are your thoughts on this?

Edit: Think about it, sony shuts down the servers, and refuses to speak about it. They say it is going to be down all day in order to do what? STOP REBUG USERS! It is not coincidental sony servers just magically shut down. It is most likely they are building on their security, finding a way to stop the rebug users. Maybe or maybe not they are banning/finding the rebug users, but I'm sure they are patching the exploit right now.

Edit 2: My theory is further proven with this:

While we are investigating the cause of the Network outage, we wanted to alert you that it may be a full day or two before we’re able to get the service completely back up and running. Thank you very much for your patience while we work to resolve this matter. Please stay tuned to this space for more details, and we’ll update you again as soon as we can.

Obviously they indeed are fixing the rebug hack, and are adding on more security patches.

They can see, but its not like they can distinctly find people that easily. And they have a program now allowing people who are banned to play on regular servers, so I'm pretty sure sony is using this "maintenance" to find people, as most of them are still playing and whatever. And accounts got hacked a lot using that rebug shit too, which is a greater reason why they took psn down for the time reason, in order to stop the whole fiasco. Like I said sony did this before with the 3.55 CFW, except not so abruptly.

Yea definitely you could very well be correct... Yea hacking accounts with rebug has been around for a good amount of time now its too late for that. They wouldn't issue out a Emergency Maintenance from problems that evolved weeks ago they would have scheduled a maintenance this maintenance was not planned by Sony was never suppose to happen. so attacked, maybe a glitch in the system, etc.

 Think that would be wrong.......

Take it with some salt but saying it may take a day or two i think it right.
Simple DDoS can be countered within hours

Damage control is sony using anon as a scapegoat so they don't need to refund users for certain services. (Note any company would )
Sony not allowed 15 days offline if it there own problem.
So that music streaming service they would need to refund users if it offline for 15 days. And anything else sony provides with PSN that pay monthly.

Now time to go outside and enjoy the sun methinks oh wait

I would think that all they would have to do is just create a filter, they shouldn't have to take PSN offline, Even since u can play a game on PSN server, that doesnt mean your PS3 is on a dedicated server its still rebug your just playing a game on a PSN server.

Do a barrel roll!
I don't think it has anything to do with PSN because I couldn't access the Sony rewards website yesterday to get my daily reward points for answering quiz questions.

It was all of Sony's networks. Either it's a security update to block anonymous or it was anonymous attacking them.

But they have enough money to sue people? I don't think so...
