Everyone thinks they are doing this on purpose, or something along those lines. Let me tell you, that is not true. They could turn PSN back on, but there would be consequences. Here is a statement made by them:

The reason PSN is not up, is because the servers were breached. Whoever breached it, would have access to accounts and CC info. They had to shut down the servers, to prevent it being leaked. Right now, they are working on finding the breach, and fixing it so people don't lose info.

That is all, stop hating, it will be on when they re secure the servers from hackers.

Snagging stuff for free can be described as being hacked.. You think other companies are happy and haven't voiced there displeasure about people getting full/unlocked games for free..

Lost revenue lawsuits could be next for sony if they don't do all they can to secure psn... this is very different from disc copying only days..

this guy is retarded: 1. its Anon not anno 2. they released numerous statments saying it wasnt them and if you were ever on OpSony's IRC you would know they have had NO TARGET since a week b4 the psn went down 3. Sony said it was breeched but nothing more they never said Anon ... stupid people

my thoughts: they did get hacked but no idea how bad could have been anything from 1 guy getting 1 game free on PSN to 100 ppl getting shit free or 1 guy getting credit card information from other users (see its all speculation) ... they shut down the PSN to fix the issue (however bad) and in the meantime they may be setting up a new update and taking out the root kit they have installed (its illegal google up iPod's latest tracking ordeal) so they wont get sued b4 anybody makes it known publicly ... i'm thinking a new update will come and possible PSN becoming a paid service (the last user agreement allowed Sony to implement fee's without notice) ... so do like me and just wait it out and watch the retards go crazy (like that crazy black guy i quoted)
