Sony doesn't want it down either, they are loosing money. As far as I'm concerned, the outage is due to the 12 year old 1337 hAx0rZ using rebug to steal from the Playstation Store and now Sony thinks they might be able to access real credit card information(I might be wrong). I would much rather have Sony take down the PSN for a week than get my credit card stolen. Sony is helping us not punishing us. [/RANT]

I disagree sony should have had better defense, not saying its ok to hack psn if this is the TRUE cause of psn downing. This point is if an individual or even a group of individuals can hack sony system, why should i trust sony with my credit card or anything else. Sony is a BIG business then should have been prepare or this or AT LEAST had a better defense against it. Its like why would you trust a bank with your money and saving if say there VAULT was made out of cardboard. Is that really a bank you wanna trust? don't get me wrong i've had a ps1, ps2, psp, ps3. I like sony but they should have been prepare or had better security.

I'm blaming Sony for being so quiet about it. Unlike most I refuse to use hindsight to say how "they should've done this or that". It took 4 years to hack the PS3 like this, even though Wii and 360 were hacked years ago.

I am blaming the hackers for being lame homos. You hack to get free shit, homebrew and pirated games. I am all for that. But it is illegal or at least you know the potential risk. So if you get caught, instead of starting some "Sony wants to take our fellow nerd to court for HACKING THEIR SYSTEM AND POTENTIALLY COSTING PSN MILLIONS OF DOLLARS THEIR 3RD PLACE SYSTEM CANT AFFORD LOSING". I am not against illegal shit, but when you get caught you get caught. Like wtf



So SONY is wrong for trying to prevent people from getting free shit off the PSN? I agree with hurting customers. But if you are use jailbroken shit then you ARE NOT a customer, you are stealing shit.

Thats like me saying my favorite artists are hurting themselves by putting out shit music.....EVEN THOUGH I NEVER BUY THEIR MUSIC AND BOOTLEG IT anyway.

I never believed that. If I find a hack for the Itunes store, I am using it to download shit. If I jailbreak an Iphone I am using it to get free aps. Same with jailbroken PS3.

I mean DVD and Blu Ray recorders are legal as long as you use it for "back up copies" but most people get things like that to bootleg shit. Not saying I dont do it, but I refuse to play innocent.

And the people who are mad Linux is gone to me are just being bad for teh **** of it. It was slow as shit.

I completly agree but idk about anyone else but im only mad at sony because of how unuseful and uninformative they are.

1. I still havn't got a full explination from them why its off and whaat caused it.

2. I know numerous people including myself who have phoned sony asking when its coming back on and everytime to everybody that i know have phoned them sony says the same answer everytime: In a couple hours.

Im sick of sony thinking they can treat there customers like shit and still expect us to support them.
