I want cross-game chat more than anyone on here. However, Sony has "played" with the notion of introducing this feature a few times previously. What came of it? Nothing. I guess you can say I am being cautiously optimistic about their statements as of late.

there might not be a sony left if 77million people's id's has been stolen and they all decide to sue. nonetheless a major upgrade to the XMB and overall network would be a nice refresher

All Ive heard about is a POSSIBLE cross-game chat, and auto sign-in being disabled, because auto sign-in somehow played a role in how PSN was allegedly hacked..
