Have you seen the XMB while playing a game? Sometimes it can up to a minute or two just to load. It is incredibly slow and sometimes freezes. Yes it CAN handle cross game chat, Sony just needs to fix a lot of things first.

My 80gb XMB doesn't lag at all during game, unless I accidentally click it when loading a COD game or something :/

Lol if this is true, bye bye xbox lol. Everyone loves ps3(cus its super fast), but they prefer xbox cus of there online play(cross game0chat).

Sony can go f*** themselves tbh, PS3 will NEVER get cross game chat as Sony can't develop software, the XMB sucks soo bad, why do you think Sony hasn't added it?
I'm pretty sure they've tried adding it on many occasions but it won't happen unless they get better software developers who can make XMB efficient.
Seriously the XMB is already laggy when using text chat or sending a message, how bad do you think it'll be trying to talk to people.
