and so i downloaded 3.60 update, and put in my pendrive like this
Pendrive>PS3>UPDATE>PS3UPDAT.PUP

and then i press START + SELECT

it checks and returns this:
"No applicable update data was found.
Connect storage media that contains update data of version 3.60 or later, and then press the START and SELECT buttons at the same time."
I've already tryed changing ports, etc.

What i did was:
remove my 250gb HDD
put my 320gb HDD
turn on ps3
and those screen apeared
put firmware in pendrive
and error hapens.


I need soo much help, cuz if my mother discover i ****ed up my ps3, im screwed :S

OBS: original was ps3 slim 250gb

UPDATE: IT WAS PENDRIVE FAULT. i puted the same files on another pendrive and worked. thanks for everyone helping!

Should be very straight forward.

hm ill be trying those options. anyway i try update and it give me the same error no applicable...

Put the USB closest to the blue ray drive, and make sure the files/folders are correct.

i restored the PS3, i have the pendrive on the usb closest to bd drive, and then same error No applicable....
im disisperated... i tryed all recovery options no sucess.... ahhhhhhhhhhhhh im gona cry and die when my mother discover damn

I'm 90% certain this isn't a hardware problem, I have updated my ps3 to the same firmware several times. In essence, you're doing it wrong.

i was using one cruzer mini 1gb, and then i sayd "hm lets change it" and tryed another pendrive
i put it,
and WORKED!
rly, **** this pendrive. i almost had a hearth attack.
