IF this PS+ rumor is accurate then take a step back and think about it.

Sony doesn't give a shit about their customers, this much is abundantly clear. What they do care about is money, and how they can recoup losses.

Lets break it down. Sony dishes out 1 month free PS+ . This allows you access to the free game for the month and discounts on other selected playstation titles.

From my understanding (correct me if I am wrong please) once your PS+ subscription runs out you lose the ability to play your free game. If this is accurate then Sony's take on it will be : Out of the 70million accounts how many will enjoy the free game and purchase an extension to keep playing them.

How many people are going to enjoy this free "preview" of PS+ and continue to subscribe to it?

Is this really a way for Sony to compensate us for their massive **** up (which is still poor compensation in any regards) or is this a way for Sony to promote their under promoted PlayStation+ service .

If Sony was my company I probably do the same, but Sony is also giving free dlc and games, dont forget that.

Where exactly did I suggest they give more? Where did I suggest they give us anything? Ever?

Im not your "homie" and my suggestion to Sony if they gave a shit would be to be more cautious when they guarantee a "secure" service.

Btw, their millions in losses will only affect their quarterly sales this year, it won't even dent the projected sales for 2011 and a month after the net work is back up 95% of the people on here including myself will forget that this ever happened... how much sweat do you honestly think they are losing over "millions". Get some perspective , a million $ to you , me or the other average Joe is a dream, for Sony corporation its nothing , the cash doesn't bother them in this situation, its the embarrassment.

To anyone who HONESTLY thinks Sony is giving away 70+ million ps+ subs for a full month is a simply to make it up to the people who DONT PAY for online play... your either daft or naive , if they didn't think it was going to make them money the WOULDN'T do it. The end.

Companies are greedy. It doesn't matter how much money they have, THEY WANT MORE. That's more money for the entry level employees. When companies lose money the big wigs aren't affected but the smaller workers do or the layoff people. Just because it doesn't hurt Sony doesn't mean it doesn't hurt THOUSANDS of employees who could lose their jobs.

Hell Charlie Sheen turned down $2 million an episode because he wanted $3 million.

I already stated I agree they are doing this for marketing.

No, you don't lose the already downloaded game....... but the license to play it expires when the PS+ subscription expires so you do lose the ability to play it.

You can't play the games you downloaded after your free subscription runs out. Which leaves me to wonder about a free avatar. When your subscription runs out does it go away and leave you with that weird default avatar when you first make an acount.
