This time, the still unknown 'hackers' started their 'third wave' attack by accessing an old unused Playstation website from 2001, and publishing what they found on other public websites, a complete list of all the contest winners with over 2,500 very detailed personal information, it not known at this time if more attacks are still coming in against other Playstation websites.

In trying to stop this new 'third wave' attack, Sony shutdown more of their servers, and are now thinking of 'offering a reward' to bring these trouble-making 'hackers' to justice, as Sony has had no luck in tracking them down for almost a month now!

Sony didn't deserve this, however I'm completely fed up with their bullshit lies and the way they treat us. they absolutely deserve to lose billions, and I support anyone who causes them to lose billions at this point in time. I am forever done with Sony products as soon as the new console comes out, and I really hope many others are too.
Sony has a track record of lying to us. This whole thing theyve been lying to us, they lied to us when they took out Linux and then another lie when they removed backwards comparability. It's ridiculous, I'm not going to put up with it anymore from this awful, moral-less company, and neither should anyone else. Free markets demand companies like this go out of business, so lets stop buying their stuff and hopefully they will.

Problem also appear to forget that all networks are not safe. Does show a major loop hole in all networks which ain't banks. That is built to the lowest cost with semi decent protection. Something we need to fix if we want more information online.
That rumour of another take am taking with salt and waiting it out. It annoying me but am willing to wait till they have a safer network. Just hope people see the scale of the problem and it not just sony own fault but a failure within companies view on data. Build it cheap and don't patch holes when they appear.

Understood that the process is complicated and time consuming, but most companies with market cap of 28 billion have fail safes and disaster plans in place. Would you be of the same position if your financial institution was in the same situation and took as long as Sony feeding you the same crap? I'm going to wait it out bitching the whole way through, but there is no way anyone can justify the way Sony has handled this. I would also hope that they are in the process of coming up with a disaster recovery play to avoid this in the future.
