I went to my PS3 and it said my password is no longer valid. I pressed "Ok." and then the next screen has an error and it returned me to the XMB.

I went to the PSN website to try to sign in, and it said:



My friends have received their resets in 30 minutes or less.

Am I doing something wrong? Is there another way to reset my password? Will creating a new account let me play online?

UPDATE: I tried signing in on a different account, and it would let me change my password right on the PS3.
I tried making a new account and it let me play online too.
It's just my original PSN that doesn't work. I'll call Sony too.

Here's what I did and it worked just fine for me....Go to Playstation Home and create a new password...thats how I did it and it worked for me...hope this helps.

Bro, i seriously think its Hotmail. I signed up with Hotmail too but no email. Although my gmail account works fine. So i would say its just hotmail.
