ylod u need thermal paste to put on the cpu which is the 2 silver blocks under neath

undo all the screws and then pull the top of u need to yank it off and hopefully that should fix it m8

u can undo your ps3 without touching the void sticker

when u undo all the screws except the screw behind the sticker

just yank your ps3 top off from the back or stand it on its side and pull it apart

its the way i opened mine

I still have the original fat 20gb model PS3 with an updraded 120GB HD, fan is as loud as a modar fawkar, but running like a champion...

how did yours break?

Just was running then cut out then the blinking light started .

did you open up the ps3 up yet? did you call sony about any warranty info yet? most times cheap capacitors leak.....happens all the time...it happened to my car ECU, my PC mother board, to my monitor's internal power supply, my PC's power supply....monolithic capacitors are a pain in the ASSSS in so many different applications... see if your PS3 has any leaky or bulging capacitors.....

thats what i would check 1st my friend.....

ive got a 60gb fat ps2 b/c with the sd micro slots is this a launch model?

only bought a 80gb fat ps3 in 2008 i think its was

but i bought the 60gb preowned so i could have a ps3 for psn and keep my other on cfw
