(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey guys, I am panicing because my main ps3 (one of 3) just got the yellow light of death today. It came out of no where and unfortunately this is my ps3 that I have all of my good game saves and game data on and I am worried that I am I going to lose all of that. It has taken me about 3 years to complete all of the games I have completed on that ps3 and I was just wondering if anyone knows if it is possible for ps3 support to fix my ps3 without erasing data? Or am i screwed? Please respond i am very nervous! I am sending this ps3 in very soon to be fixed but I need to know if its worth it and if it will save all of my game saves and data and if when I turn it on after being fixed will everything be the same way I left it?

nope, ur still ****ed, removing the hard drive wipes it, even if it didnt the ps3 will format a new hard drive as soon as u turn it on, resulting in a empty hard drive

When my PS3 got the 'Yellow Light of Death' (YLOD), I just fixed it following a tutorial on YouTube. I was then able to copy my gamesaves onto a USB flash drive. The PS3 only lasted a few days before getting the YLOD again, but I still got to keep my gamesaves that weren't copyright protected. Smile

Support can fix it for $$$.

Is it a Fat PS3? I've repaired those before and it's quite simple once you've repaired 'em so many times Smile
