(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});As the tittle says, this is a fix for a famous PS3 Slim Disc Error in which the disc is being read according to the screen (the thing that goes in circle at the top right of the screen), but is not read at all, and makes an eject noise without ejecting the disc.
The common "fix" for this is just to eject the disc, and re-insert it until it works, but this can take a serious amount of time.
So, I decided to make a video with the fix I found. When I say I found it, I mean I did it by messing with it myself, not by reading anything online (IE: I'm NOT saying that no one else found this before me, just that I didn't steal it from them)
So, here's my video with the tutorial: (no tools needed at all)
If it works, be sure to at least leave a comment about it, just so I know. If it doesn't, please also tell me (but do not blame me, I'm just trying to help). Good luck!
just go into safe mode and rebuild your database i think is the one and it'll sort it
That doesn't always work though. Me and my friend had the same problem and I looked up online every single possible solution. We tried what you said, also tried the Blueray Disc Drive cleaner...nothing worked. The only thing I didn't try was replacing my drive, which is the obvious permanent fix if you want to risk it.
If you really want to know what the problem that caused your issue was, then here it is. Inside the blu-ray drive itself, everything is connected to springs. Except one piece of plastic. Sometimes that piece of plastic will come down which was block discs from being read properly. Usually, I recommend opening the console to fix it as it is more reliable than this method but the same concept is being applied. You are just moving a piece of plastic that has moved down by (sometimes) force or shaking of the console. Also removing discs at odd angles can also cause this issue.

Thanks, did not know that.
I guess I'll look into that in some weeks when I have the time. I just didn't open it because I did not have a new Blueray Drive to put in, and I didn't want to clean the lenses with anything other than the Disc Drive cleaner.
Again, many thanks.

Yes, but this works as a temporary fix. Plus, it's free.
