ok with freemcboot (my tutorial here: You must login or register to view this content.) you will notice some options in the main menu that wasnt there before. one thing that freemcboot allows you to do is play your ps2 backups burned to a disk or booted off of an hdd. this thread is the disk portion.in the ps2s browser, one new option is ESR. esr, in simple terms, makes the ps2 play a ps2 backup making it think that its booting a DVD movie. to get your ISOs for ps2 disks, i recommend going here:You must login or register to view this content. oh and to see links you need to register and sign in at:You must login or register to view this content.

once you have the ISO of your choice, find and download DVD Decrypter and ESR Disk patcher. search google for dvd decrypter (not img burn. to copy your ps2 games you already own, use dvd decrypter)esr disk patcher can be found here:You must login or register to view this content.

unrar the patcher and run the program. drag and drop the iso you downloaded into the patcher and it will work its magic. (if you get a UDF related error, you found a bad ISO, find another). take this patched ISO and burn it to a DVD-R (must be -R. +R will overwork the laser) with dvd decrypter. look on the disk label and see what the burning speed is. burn at HALF SPEED (8 shown, burn at 4X). take this burned ISO and pop it in your ps2. it will load up ESR automatically. hit the first option. the screen will flash some colors and it will start your game. if it freezes on one of the colors, its a bad ISO, find another. any questions, ask me

no, the ps2 must be modified with freemcboot (my tutorial is the first link at the top of the thread. if you have codebreaker, actionreplay max, or gameshark i would look into it. its free. or you can try my install method. little harder but it does work even without the other devices mentioned.)
oh and please quote me so i can see you replied

Hey man, what do you mean with (both folders must stay together) ? I only have the "Noobie_Package" folder on my usb stick, and the part of swapping the discs,I count 1 second when the ps2 logo appears or only when it's gone?I have to get out the retail disc and put the ulaunch.elf disc then wait 1 second again and put the retail disc right?

you cant esr patch the cheat discs. the only cheat disc that can be booted after downloading it is codebreaker (i recommend version 9.2 cracked). i have a thread in this section where you can download codebreaker v9.2 in an elf file so it can be booted off of uLaunch.elf
